Perspectives
I always say that perspective is everything. In the "Frog Princess", the Handsome Prince says to the Frog Princess, "What could a Frog need besides a pond, a lilypad and a few juicy flies?" The Frog Princess needs much more than that - she needs companionship - something the Prince doesn't even see.
My niece, Angie, takes beautiful pictures. What makes them so cool is her perspective. She really has an artist's eye and takes her pictures from unexpected angles. The results are fantastic.
So what has perspective to do with me today. I am waiting with baited breath to see if my insurance company will cover the new extended release version of my medication. This medication has made me feel so much better. But, from their perspective, cost matters more than anything. From my perspective, the extra couple hours of freedom this drug buys me every day is worth more than piles of gold.
I don't wish harm on anyone - but I do wish there was a way they could walk (or crawl) around in my body for 24 hours. It would undoubtedly change their perspective!

Dinner & Drinks with Michael J. Fox
On April 23rd, we had drinks and dinner with Michael J. Fox - - along with several hundred other Team Fox members. It was a very lovely evening. We got a chance to talk with Michael for a minute. I asked him about his twin daughters - who are 15 - and Steve asked him about playing with The Who. He was very gracious - had his picture taken with us and was off to talk to the next Team Fox member.
While in New York, we participated in a Parkinson's Unity Walk - which was really cool. There were approximately 16,000 people walking - and they raised 1.2 million for a Parkinson's cure that day. ALL of the money that comes in through pledges & contributions goes to Parkinson's disease. The sponsors cover the cost. Imagine, this all started 16 years ago with 200 people & a dream.
I'm hoping to have 200 people at our Walk to the Future on July 24th. I certainly have a dream - a future with no Parkinson's disease!!!
